Have you been so long with those "web footed" Seattleites that you can't see.

This is probably true.  It was only when I got out of the  fog and rain that my brain dried out.

---The NT translated into Hebrew might use the name YHWH when referring to OT passages where the name is used. That would be the translater's option. That is different  then the actual NT writers who were inspired by the Holy Spirit.
---The way the NT is written with the individual characteristics of each penman differing from each other has caused some to believe that the NT is merely the work of man. I choose to believe that God used the vocabulary and learning of each penman. At the same time they wrote what was "God-breathed." I have no problem with God using what we have instead of inputing what we don't have.
---The idea that Matthew was first written in Hebrew is an old theory held by  mostly eccentric scholars. There is also the belief that the entire NT was written in aramaic instead of Greek. The P e s h i t t a was the text of the Lamsa translation who believed this theory. These theories are based upon some out of the way facts. The general consenses of the majority of scholars across all denominations for several centuries has been the orthodox beliefs. The arguments for such unusual theories should be compelling instead of just a few facts or assumptions.

Hey Joel......

I have posted about my experience also. Very similar but I actually saw what was going to happen about 30 seconds before it would have happened if I had ignored the explicit visual warning. It was so vivid and powerful I couldn't ignore it. It saved not only my life but my daughter's as well. Maybe I needed that kind of warning so I wouldn't rationalize it away. Regardless, God intervened, no way around it.
