Title: Today's speaker
Post by: lanny on December 08, 2013, 11:56:06 PM
---At the Well today we had an interesting converted Muslim speak. Born in Iran, father saw the dangers when the Shah would fall and took his family to America in the 1970's, a current pastor in Everett, former Redmond police officer and former candidate for Wa state governor. He has quite a resume.
---He is the first church speaker I have ever heard to lay out the coming persecution in America. I have been saying this for 10 years to deaf ears. I often feel I am listening to a generic Bible message in the chapel on the Titanic about 2 hours before we hit the iceberg. Great sermon but the timing is so blind.
---He debunked, "Chrislam." Chrislam is a movement declaring that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. I hadn't heard that one.
---He was involved in the last election where gay marriage passed in the state of Washington. He contacted hundreds of pastors & churches and reported that 90% were too afraid to get involved. He said it reminded him of Lutheran pastors by the thousand that saluted Hitler in the 1930's.
---One point he made that stuck with me...In Islam to be guaranteed entrance to heaven one must die a martyr in jihad. In Christianity Christ was our martyr.
---I was greatly encouraged to hear someone sounding the alarm with such clarity. Pray for his protection. He might wake up some...
