John and I just finished watching the movie Fireproof.  We were both in tears.  Calvary Fellowship is having a Valentine's night this Friday and they were going to show this movie, but John has to work that night; so we rented it.  I would say this is an absolute must see, not just for anyone who is struggling in their marriage; but for those who know someone who is struggling too.  This is only the 2nd time I've ever seen my husband cry.

What a great movie.

The same folks produced two others, also very good: Flywheel, and Facing the Giants

I might pass on this one. I never married anyway. I knew from my teens I would have a problem. My Dad would not have liked the idea of me being married. Likely he would not have liked the in laws. My mother was not happy about the idea at all. I was saved in March of 1971 out of drugs and a very deep depression. To make a long story short a friend of mind was a big help. It is no wonder I had the same condition that many GI's have after hospital stays from combat except to an extreme. That is they end up "married" to the nurse that brought them back to heath. Even if they know them little and have gone separate ways for untold years. I ate like her, slept like her like a personal idol. It would not have been a big problem back in 1971-73 If is were not the legalistic condition of the church. That is as hard as Tom Brown wanted to turn the place into the military due to its condition the more I wanted to see as Mary beth Rockway ( she never went to the chapel) due to its condition. By an act of God I do not feel as I did then however just reminded that she was a wonderful person.

In about 1987 or so The Lord spoke to me and said that He will make me rich. In fact I was also told this was going to happen back in 1972 but sensed that it was so far off in my future I put it out of my mind. What ever happened my grandma and mother found out. When I brought it up they changed the subject to my aunts. So I went off traveling and other things not knowing otherwise as I worked for hotel and got free rooms then. I bought 3 (sets of 12) Len ox crystal in Autumn at $40 a glass that are collecting dust today and a few other odd things. If I would have known its intent was a wedding gift by someone out side my family I would have likely saved up for a ring. When I found out I ended up in a bitter arguments that went on for weeks till I gave up. Shortly after happen with these rich people resulted in a long list of body bags, home brake ins and a bank robbery and etc. All I can say for now is you will have to wait about four more years to get the real revelation when it all comes out of court. You call this movie Joseph.

---Watched the movie and was amazed at how good it was. 5 stars all the way. Here is a Baptist church in Georgia putting out first class movies that are good and glorify God & His truth.
---All I can say is that it represents a powerful moving of God in opposition to the fast downward slide this nation is having. "When the enemy comes in like a flood the Spirit of the LORD will raise up a standard against him"
---Those Baptists are anointed. God has come into the movie business. I believe this movie and related books & marriage materials could easily touch millions. Go Baptists!
---I see these things every now and again. Amazing God given talents & giftings that can come from anywhere. I am prejudiced to think they will come from the BHS, prophetic, Divine healing, camp but no, God raises up anyone He wants to change the world. It is all the more testimony that it is God.
---I was encouraged more by the fact that the movie exists then by the message of the movie. I am encouraged to see God moving in our gloomy world.

After watching this movie last year, we decided to buy this CD and John and I watched it again this morning and again, I just love this movie.  The Love Dare is an excellent example of how to work at a loving relationship and one of the days of this exercise makes a point regarding studying our mate that explained how you can figure each other out and this is very wise.  John and I are thrilled to be able to acknowledge why this movie has benefited our marriage in the suggestion of steps that make working at having a good marriage; actually not that hard.  Like the main character told his wife when he was on day 43 out of a 40 day plan; “why does it have to stop?”

A simple institution can needlessly be made difficult by the flesh, but find abundant life and thrive when godly wisdom has its way.
