A few days ago Lanny disparaged the use of crosses in Christian churches.  I don't know why.  He didn't answer when I asked what was wrong with them, but I like crosses.  In Christian faith they symbolize the centrality of Christ's death, which is our salvation.  Cults deny the cross of Christ for that reason, pointing to things within man that, according to their teaching, merit salvation instead, and that's why they don't like crosses and don't use them in the places they meet for worship.

Since I also like photography, I've got a Web site of photos I've taken of steeples with crosses.  I like the symbolism of churches with steeples holding high the cross of Christ over a community.  Here's a new photo that I took yesterday:

Acts 17:2 Then Paul, as his custom was, went to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with the from the scriptures

Acts 17:16 While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he was greatly distressed to see that the city was full of idols. 17 So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Greeks, as well as in the marketplace day by day with those who happened to be there.

Is that supposed to mean anything relevant to this thread, Joel?  Is it meant to make fun of me?  Is it meant to express an appreciation of photography?

Many mysteries exist in the life of ex-Chapelites who try to engage other ex-Chapelites about what it all meant.

Or at least, that's what this ex-Chapelite finds...
