Apparently something has happened to this Senator, one who is the poster boy for what is wrong with our system in Washington. I haven't been interested enough to dig into details but I saw the obligatory bi-partisan heaping on of praises when one of their fellow looters has perished or suffered some sort of personal setback. I am not judging Byrd's soul, just his politics.
I find it repugnant when so called conservatives (in this case Sessions) and the required "colleague from the other side of the aisle", Leahy, were going on regarding what a great patriot Byrd was. Baloney. He was a destroyer of liberty, property, morality and self respect. He was one of the Grand Poobahs of Pork and for anyone claiming to be a conservative to heap praises on such horrible record is simply revealing what I already know and others should; that so called conservative should be run out of Dodge on a rail. Why? Because either they don't know they are blind or they think we are too stupid to see through ruse. In either case, I have no time or stomach for such nonsense.
All this bipartisan lovey dovey kissy time toward each other only proves to me they are the same political breed. Their actions prove it conclusively but they still attempt to fool us into believing they are in "healthy" opposition to each other. They are in healthy opposition to each other if you believe it is healthy having Stalin and Hitler as the opposing forces under which you live. I don't believe anyone who cherishes their freedom should kiss up to a destroyer of the same. Never. One doesn't need to be violent or mean spirited toward them but for the sake of truth don't kiss or bend over for them!
